We, at E.I.F., carefully select parent reels of non-woven fabric according to users' technical and economic needs in order to transform this raw material into the finished product and propose adapted solutions. We are both a creator and a manufacturer, and our manufacturing procedures therefore integrate different techniques such as cutting, bonding, sewing, gluing and folding, depending on the products to be executed. Downstream we have two packaging units and a quality department that deals with verifications and certification of our products before they are put on the market. Our main products concern protection and hygiene, with protective garments and accessories for limited or single use and industrial wipes. These products have the advantage that they can be used in very varied fields of industrial application. We therefore propose for industries and institutions :

E.I.F. manufactures, under licence to DuPont de Nemours, protective garments in Tyvek® and wipes in Sontara® .

Tyvek® : the latter is obtained by a fully integrated continuous procedure in which very fine continuous, organised and non-directional 100% density polyethylene fibres, are firstly flash spun forming a web and laid on a moving belt before being bonded together using heat and pressure. By varying the lay-down speed and bonding conditions, the flashspun sheets can be engineered to the market's specific needs. There are several types of Tyvek®. E.I.F. manufactures protective garments in Tyvek®, Tychem® C and Tychem® F. Tyvek® acts like a protective screen. It is an excellent barrier against all particles (Tyvek®), whilst offering great resistance to traction and tearing. It is an efficient barrier against a large number of chemical products and undergoes treatment by an antistatic agent. This material can be dyed and is moderately priced. All these properties make Tyvek® very high performance in numerous applications.

Sontara® : is obtained according to the most advanced "spunlaced" production technology. The basis of this procedure is the dynamic needling of fibres by very high-pressure blasts of water, which enables the formation of a web by hydrodynamic entangling of polyester and cellulose fibres. Unlike some non-woven fibres, Sontara® does not contain any additives, adhesives or other chemical products. The high-energy entangling of the fibres gives it exceptional mechanical resistance. In addition, since the fibres are washed during production Sontara® produces hardly any lint at all. E.I.F. manufactures a wide range of multi-use or specific-use wipes in Sontara®.
