Founded in 1955 by Marc-Henri Mital and
Jean Deutsch of E.I.F. (Essuyage Ile de France) with, as its
calling, the marketing of traditional cleaning fabrics.
1960 : a pioneer, E.I.F. began its non-woven
wipes converting activity.
Its non-woven wipes activity widened to
personal protection with the creation of the Protection and
Hygiene department.
1972: Opening of an industrial glove manufacturing
unit that enabled it to launch several textile gloves.
1979 : Opening of a picardy production unit
for the converting of non-woven fabrics.
1989 : Licence agreement with DuPont de
Nemours for the production and marketing of Tyvek® and
Sontara® brands.
1991 : Opening of the Medical Department
1992 : New graphic identity and business
name for E.I.F. (Equipement Innovation Fabrication)
1993-1997 : Relocation of certain protective garment manufacturing units.
1998 : Opening of the Distribution department
for the industry.
2000 : Affirmation of E.I.F. as specialist
in limited-use products in the field of protection and hygiene.
2001 : Setting-up of several decentralized
storage platforms.
Joint venture with a partner in Eastern
European countries for the relocation of certain non-woven
converting units
2002 : Extension and renovation of the picardy
production site for non-woven fabric transformation.
